Joint Commission

Joint Commission

In November 2009, MedFirst was first awarded the Certificate of Distinction for Healthcare Staffing from the Joint Commission, the nation’s oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in healthcare.

Joint Commission performed an extensive on-site review of MedFirst’s compliance with national standards, specifically addressing how we determine the qualifications and competency of our staff, how we place our staff, and how we monitor staff performance.

We are proud to say that MedFirst’s Certificate of Distinction for Healthcare Staffing from the Joint Commission has been successfully renewed since 2009, proving our continual commitment to the highest standards in healthcare.

“Certification recognizes MedFirst’s commitment to providing nurses and other health professionals who are qualified to provide safe, high-quality care to patients,” said Capers Easterby, President of MedFirst. “Our Company is proud to have once again received the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™. We believe strongly that Certification also means more opportunities for our employees. Because of our Joint Commission Certification, hospitals and other healthcare facilities know that they can count on receiving outstanding employees and a commitment to safe, high-quality patient care from MedFirst. This translates into more orders for MedFirst, and more jobs for our nurses and other healthcare professionals.”
